ff. 1r-49vTitle: דרשות וחדושיםTitle: Derashot ṿe-ḥidushimIncludes homilies and novellae for the weekly Torah portions; seliḥot according to the Sefardi rite (f. 4r); excerpts from a book, which contain alphabetically arranged entries, the Torah entry is extant; a part of a responsum signed by Yitsḥaḳ Belmonṭ Antibi: העבד הצעיר בבית אבי יצחק בלמונט ענטיבי ס"ט (f. 14r); brief homilies sorted according to subjects.

Ff. 12v, 23v, 31v, 32r, 33r, 37r, 41r, 45r, 47v and 48r are blank.
Collation
The manuscript is composed of excerpts from various manuscripts, which are bound out of order.
Condition
Usage stains, liquid damage, folding lines, tears, holes.
Some leaves have been fixed.
F. 44 is very fragmentary, but some other leaves are also damaged with loss of text.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1239; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 19 December 1931.
