There is not consensus regarding the authorship: composed either by Mosheh Hayyim Luzzatto and copied by Yiśraʾel Ṭriṿis or composed by Ṭriṿis himself.

Title page is missing.

Some of the marginal notes are by Moshe Hayyim Luzzatto.

According to the colophon it was written for Yeḳutiʾel Gordon of Vilna.

Maybe autograph. However, Tishby argues that it was composed by Luzzatto, and Ṭriṿis (Treves) first copied it from an early edition, then he corrected and supplemented it from an expanded later addition. The Oxford copy would have been made by another hand as an orderly copy for Yeḳutiʾel Gordon (see Tishby, Messianic Mysticism, p. 16 n54).
