Liturgy for Ḥanukah (Genizah fragment)
Contents
Fragment of a manuscript containing Maʾamadot for the eight days of Ḥanukah.
Language(s): Hebrew
ff. 1r-73vTitle: מעמדות לשמנת ימי חנוכהTitle: Maʾamadot le-Shemonat yamim ḤanukahIncipit: וזכי לבנין דיתחזון לנביאי מהימניMore than the first half of the manuscript is missing, and a leaf has been lost after ff. 43, 44, and 45 respectively.
A kind of Sefer maʿamadot for eight days (probably the eight days of Ḥanukah, the extant readings from the Pentateuch relating to the Tabernacle and its contents, thus bringing the subject into some connection with the dedication of the Temple).
The lections are taken from the Bible, the Zohar and the Tiḳune Zohar.
The references to pages given in connection with the two latter works tally with the editions of Mantua 1558-1560 and 1557 respectively.
