According to M. Gaster's note, the fragment is from a genizah.

F. 6r: סודות אשר מצאתי כתובים בקונטריס ישן נושן בשם הר’ משה הדרשן; f. 8r: מצאתי כתוב בשם הרב יאודה חזן לונדריש; f. 9r: מצאתי כתוב בשם הרב צמח.

Characters from crytic alphabet on ff. 5r, 12v.

F. 14v: סגולות אבן הנשר; f. 18r: מזל טלה.

Incomplete at the beginning and at the end.

Remains of the original leather binding are included into the volume (in digital surrogate they are called front flyleaf (ii) and back flyleaf (i).

M. Gaster's note on front pastedown: 'Gen Aleppo'.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1285; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 13 January 1932.
