A collection of papers to which the following title has been prefixed by Mr. Hasted [Edward Hasted]: ‘Papers and accounts relating to the Commissioners for Prizes taken in the Dutch wars, together with their original Commission from the Council of State, with the 14 articles exhibited against the said Commissioners in 1659’ viz.
1. Resolution of the House of Commons, appointing John Sparrow, Richard Blackwell, Humphrey Blake, Richard Hill, Samuel Wilson and Robert Turpin, commissioners for the sale of goods and ships taken from the Dutch. 8 March 1652. f. 1.
2. Order of Parliament touching livers merchant ships belonging to the people of the United Provinces, lying in the River Thames and the port of Dover. 9 July 1652. f. 2.
3. Declaration of the commissioners respecting the sum of 6000 £ to be remitted, by exchange to Hamborough, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam.
