A volume of ancient pedigrees, stated, in a memorandum prefixed by Anstis [Thomas Anstis], to be in the handwriting of Sir Thomas Wriothesley, Garter King at Arms, who died in 1534. (Cf. Manuscript Harleian, 1074, chiefly compiled by the same individual, and also Manuscript Harleian, 1417; Add MS 6113, f. 8b). The folios are marked from XVI to CCLXII so that the volume would seem to be imperfect at the commencement. There is no index; to supply which the following list is annexed, with references to the old paging of the manuscript.

The portion of this volume written by Sir Thomas Wriothesley appears to terminate at folio IIIIXXVI, and the remainder is in two hands (cf. MS Harleian, 1074) one of which (as at folio CLV) corrects the other, and refers to ‘Garters Brookes.’ The two last pedigrees of Jerningham and Hampton have been added by a fourth and more recent hand. (See ‘Collectanea Topographica,’ vol. I).
