2. Royal warrant, addressed to Will., Earl of Devonshire, Ld. Steward of the Household, for swearing in Francis, Visct. Newport, Treasurer of the Household, Thos. Wharton, Esq., Comptroller, Sir Stephen Fox, eldest clerk of the Green Cloth, Wm. Forester, Esq., second clerk, James Forbes Esq. eldest Clerk Comptroller, & Peter Isaac, Esq., youngest Clerk Comptroller. Dat. Whitehall, 21 Feb. 1688. fol. 6.

Done, Esqrs., Auditors for the Imprests, to allow in the accounts of John Richards, the sums of £220.0.10 paid to the almoner for the Maundy for the year 1693, and £237.09.4 for the Maundy for the year 1694, to allow the Maundy money hereafter in the Treasurers accompts. 10. Royal Warrant to John Richards, Gent., to pay £200 to William Fermain, Gent., Barber in Ordinary, for his charges since the accession, to Lady day 1693, and from that time the yearly sum of £170. Dat. Kensington, 8 March 1692. fol. 37.

Royal Warrant to the same, to continue the number of Forty Messengers of the Chamber, at £45 per annum each, without reduction, from Lady Day 1692, and also to divide the annual sum of £400 allotted to ten Grooms of the Chamber, among fourteen Grooms, who were sworn before the late Establishment was made.
