Volume XXIII of Mr. Cole’s [Reverend William Cole] Collections, folio, ff. 218, chiefly filled with extracts from the registers of the bishops of Ely, principally in regard to the affairs of the county of Cambridgeshire. The originals were sent to Mr. Cole for this purpose, by Sir Thomas Gooch, baronet, Lord Bishop of Ely, A.D. 1752. The extracts in the present volume are as follows:
