Volume XXXVIII of Cole’s [Reverend William Cole] Collections, folio, pp. 470, being the first volume of ‘The History and Antiquities of Buckinghamshire,’ containing ‘The Hundred of Newport, collected from Records, Leiger Books, Antient Manuscripts, and other select authorities by Browne Willis, Esq., L.L.D.’ Transcribed, and methodised, by Mr. Cole, at Mr. Willis’s request, in 1760, for the purpose of publication, from the author’s original manuscripts, now in the Bodleian Library. Throughout are notes and additions made by Cole, the principal of which are church notes from Great Brickhill, 1765, pp. 2-4, and p. 60. At the end of the volume are added by the transcriber:
