Volume 49 of Mr. Cole’s Collections, containing the history of St. John’s College, Cambridge, by Reverend Thomas Baker BD, Fellow of the College, and the life of Mr. Baker by the Honourable Horace Walpole, and correspondence relative to it, viz.
1. Transcript of Mr. Thomas Baker’s History of St. John’s College, made by Mr. Cole from a copy taken in 1765 at the expense of Dr. Newcome, Master of the College, from the original manuscript preserved in the Harleian Collection No. 7028, with large additions by Mr. Cole himself, who has throughout added the Coats of Arms Emblazoned of the Masters, Bishops, and other individuals. The order of the materials for the History of this college stands thus.
