Compiled from Bale, Pits, Fuller, Wood, Lloyd, Walker, etc. by Morris Drake Morris of Mount Morris in Kent, Esquire and Fellow Commoner of Trinity College Cambridge. Volume 3 of 3.
This volume contains the lives of eminent men from AD 1502-AD1674. (pages 1-255)

This volume was given to Mr. Cole by Dr. Conyers Middleton in 1748/1749. Of that portion which contains Mr. Drake Morris’s ‘Athenæ’, a fair copy exists in his own handwriting, among the Harleian manuscripts 7176 and 7177. To this volume is prefixed by Mr. Cole a similar Index to the ‘Athenæ’, (pages i-vii) and at the end, a rough index to the Miscellaneous additions made by himself. (pages 540-541).
