A quarto volume (130 folios), in which are contained copies of some of the writings of Hugh Broughton, chiefly transcribed from printed editions, and in the following order:
1. Epistle to Queen Elizabeth. (folio 1)
This combines in itself the Epistle to the Queen prefixed to his ‘Concent of Scripture’ (Printed in the edition of his works by Dr. Lightfoot, page 1 fol. 1662) and the Epistle to her, touching the opinions of Dr. Reynolds. (Printed in the edition of his works by Dr. Lightfoot, page 161)
2. Epistle to the Lords of the Privy Council, respecting his answer to the letter of Abraham Reuben. (Printed in the edition of his works by Dr. Lightfoot, page 970). (folio 5)
3. Epistle to Queen Elizabeth on the same subject. Transcribed from the Basil edition of 1598. (Printed in the edition of his works by Dr. Lightfoot, page 925). (folio 7b)
4. Translation of the Jew’s [Abraham Ruben’s] Epistle to Hugh Broughton. (The original Hebrew is printed in the edition of his works by Dr. Lightfoot, page 929, but the translation is not). (folio 9)

Dr. Lightfoot prints this as an original work whereas by a note in the manuscript it appears to have been transcribed from a Latin treatise in the hands of Mr. Johnson of Amsterdam.
This volume was formerly in the Library of Dr. Richard Farmer, Master of Emanuel College Cambridge, who has written a note at the beginning.
