A volume in folio, ff. 78, in which are various papers, principally in the handwriting of Dr. Ducarel, relating to the projected publication of the epitome of Archbishop Peckham’s register by himself, and Mr. Edward Rowe Mores, in 1755, and also to several other archiepiscopal registers, viz.
1. Rough draft of title page and Latin preface to the epitome of Archbishop Peckham’s register, signed A.C.D. and E.R.M. (from a reference in pencil to the ‘printed copy;’ it is probable this was printed off, although never published). ff. 1-13b.
2. List of extracts from the Peckham register printed in Wilkins ‘Concilia’, vol. 2 and Rymer, tom. II. ff. 14-20b.
3. Index to Archbishop Peckham’s register. ff. 21-25b.
4. Some account of Archbishop Ishippe, and of his register book, in a letter to his grace the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury (Thomas Herring). 24 Sept 1757. (See Add MSS 6067-6068). ff. 26-31.
