A folio volume, ff. 190, containing the mutilated remains of the autograph journals of Mr. William George Browne, during his travels in Africa, Egypt, and Syria, from November 1791 to August 1798. These remains, which were presented to the Museum by his executors (acting under the advice of Francis Douce, esquire) contain a good deal of matter omitted in the printed edition of his travels. Quarto, London, 1799.
At the beginning of the volume is inserted a letter from Francis Douce, esquire, to Joseph Planta, esquire, transmitting the journals to the Museum. 18 July 1814.
