A small quarto volume, ff. 85, entirely in the handwriting of Dr. Ward, containing copies of papers and dissertations read before the Society of Antiquaries, some of which were afterwards published in their Archæologia. They are:
1. An account of the Great Pagoda on the island Salsett, communicated by Smart Lethieullier, esquire. 26 Apr 1727. f. 1.
2. A dissertation by Samuel Gale, esquire, on Julius Cæsar’s passage over the River Thames. Read 24 Jan 1734-5. f. 4. Printed in Archæologia, vol. I, p. 183.
3. A letter from Dr. Hunter of Durham to Roger Gale, esquire, concerning a Roman station near South Shields, in the bishopric of Durham, and also concerning two inscriptions found at Lancaster in that county, with some observations by Mr. Gale. Read 19 June 1735. f. 9.
