1. Note from the Reverend John Swinton to Professor Ward, respecting Mr Hallifax. Folio 1.
2. Memoranda relative to Mr (subsequently Dr.) William Hallifax, Chaplain at Aleppt, temp. William III, and afterwards Chaplain to the House of Commons, folios 2, 3.
3. Letter from Benjamin Clement to Professor Ward (?) containing a copy of Dr. Hallifax’s epitaph at Old Swinford, County Worcester and particulars respecting him. Dated Dudley, 20 Februarym 1758. Folio 4.
4. Letter from John Dyson to Professor Ward (?) notice of Dr. Hallifax, when Chaplain of the House of Commons. Dated Charles St. 22 March, 1758. Folio 6.
5. Letter from Benjamin Clement to Prodessor Ward (?) additional particulars respecting Dr. Hallifax. Dared Dudley, 10 April, 1758. Folio 9.

Note by Gabriel Barbor of Brentwood; concerning the preservation of his Great Grandfather’s father from being burnt for religion in the time of Queen Mary, and a jewel or carving of Queen Elizabeth on stone, made to commemorate this event; with a copy of a Clause in the writers Will, relating to the same, dated 25 August, 1724. 7. Copy in Professor Ward’s writing of a memoir signed giving an account of the MS. “Commentariotum Geographicum de Situ Brittaniae” of Richard of Westminster. Dated 27 March, 1749. Folio 15.This account is printed in the enlarged paper, addressed to the Society of Antiquaries, 4to[quarto], London, 1757.
8. Delineation of a supposed date [1144] in Arabic numerals, on a stone, found in taking down an old house; called the Black Swan Inn, in Holborn; with some account of it, by Joseph Ames. Dated 13 May, 1756. Folio 22.
9. Extract from the Whitehall Evening Post, 4 June, 1734/5; respecting a date [1274] in Arabic numerals on an ancient Bedstead at Langdale in Westmoreland. Folio 23.
10. Letter from George Briggs to Allan Chambers, Esquire inclosing a plan of the Bedstead and Date executed by the Reverend Richard Steel, curate of Landale. Dated Grasmere, 5 February, 1734. Folios 24-26.
