One of three volumes [with 6321 and 6323] in folio of 123 folios being collections relating to the History of the Order of the Garter; made by and principally (with the exception of the Printed articles) in the handwriting of Mrs Sarah Sophia Banks.
Volume II.
1. Printed Extracts, with a few written memoranda, from various Newspapers, the ‘London Gazette’, etc, 1801, 1803, 1805 (grand installation at Windsor). Folios 1-11b., 13-15, 20.
2. Original Letter from the Earl of Dartmouth to Sir Joseph Banks, K.B. signifying his nomination as a Kight of the Bath to attend on the Duke of Clarence, at the installation. Dated 30 March, 1805. Folio 12.
3. Memoranda by Mrs Banks of the installation at Windsor, 23 April, 1805. Folios 15-16, *19.
4. Original Note from Earl Spencer to Mrs Banks, inclosing to her the Summons addressed to him to attend the Installation, 23 April. Dated 2 May, 1805. Folios 17-18.
5. Printed Extracts from Newspapers and ‘London Gazettes’, with a few written memoranda, relating to Chapters of the Order, Deaths of Knights of the Garter, Dinners and Entertainments given to the Knights, etc, from 1805 to 1818 inclusive. Folios 18b-106.
