A quarto volume containing sermons by Bishop Edward Chandler intended for publication, and papers relating thereto. (266 folios)
1. Rough draft of a preface to an intended publication of some of Bishop Chandler’s sermons, in the handwriting of the Reverend Dr. Thomas Sharp, son of Archbishop Sharp, who undertook the editorship. (folios 1-11)
2. Corrected copy of the preface, in the same hand. (folios 12-17)
3. An account of the Heads and Subjects of fifteen discourses intended to form the first volume of the above mentioned sermons, in the same hand, with a copy of a letter from Dr. Thomas Sharp to the Publisher, and of another in shorthand on the same subject. (folios 18-28)
4. Two sermons on Hebrews VIII 8, in the handwriting of the Reverend John Sharp, Vicar of Hartburn, grandson of the Archbishop and chaplain to Bishop Chandler. Prefixed is a table of the subjects and heads of the discourses intended to form the first volume of Sermons, in Dr. Thomas Sharp’s writing [Disc. I. II]. (folios 29-49)

15. Sermon on Revelation XII 23, copied by Dr. Thomas Sharp. 16. Sermon on Ephesians II 18. Prefixed is the following note: ‘A Defence of the Christian Doctrine concerning the Holy Trinity. This I suppose to be a Sermon of Bishop Chandler’s (being found among his papers) but it is in the handwriting of his chaplain, the Reverend Dr. John Sharp, Grandson of Archbishop Sharp, Gr. S. [Granville Sharp]. (folios 248-264)
