A small oblong quarto volume (159 folios), titled:
‘Recht naturliche Beschreibung und Abmahlung der Wasser-Vogel, Visch, Vierfufzigen Thieren, Insecten, und Sewurm, so bey Straszburg in den Waszern gefun den warden, so ichselber geschoszen, und in meiner Hand gehabt. Leonhard Baldner, Vischer u. Burger in Straszburg’, or ‘An exact natural description and Delineation of the Water-Fowls, Fishes, Fourfooted Beasts, Insect, and Worms, which are found in the waters at Strassburg [Strasbourg], which I myself shot and handled. Leonard Baldner, Fisher and Citizen in Strassburg’. The drawings are very beautifully coloured, and are accompanied by Descriptions in German. At the commencement is a preface, dated 31 December 1653.
