A large folio volume (71 folios), consisting of various miscellaneous papers purchased at the sale of the Library of John Topham esquire in 1804.
1. Tracing of an original letter from Oliver Cromwell to the Commander in Chief of the town of Wexford, demanding the immediate surrender of the Garrison. Dated 11 October 1649. A copy is annexed, and a note is also prefixed from Mr. Molesworth to Mr. Topham, inclosing the above for the inspection of the society of Antiquaries. Dated Pay Office Horse Guards, 25 January 1790. (folios 1-3)
2. Warrant on Vellum, under the sign manual of Oliver Cromwell as Lord Protector, to the Exchequer, to allow George Hooper, Gentleman of Westminster, a moiety of the arrears of £20 rent per annum, which by him should be discovered to belong to the state, and omitted to have been put in charge in the court of the Exchequer. Dated Westminster, 23 June 1657. (folio 4)
