1. Notatiunculi de Gilda Historico; (from William of Malmesbury, John Fordun, Gale’s Preface to the XV Scriptores, and D’Ewes’s Mon. Hist. de Rebus Britannicis Harley MS 624). ff. 1-7.
2. Gesta Britonum a Gilda Sapiente composita; transcribed from Royal MS 13 B VX, and collated with the copy of a manuscript in the Public Library Cambridge, in Harley MS 524. ff. 8v-57.
3. Vita Sanctissimi atque doctissimi viri Gildæ; from Royal MS 13 B 7. ff. 58-69. This is entirely different from the Life of Gildas printed in the Floriacensis Bibliotheca, p. 429, 8o, Lugduni. 1605.
4. Historia Brytonum, heroico carmine, per Gyldam; from Cotton MS Julius D XI. ff. 70-215. This is nothing more than a metrical translation of Geoffrey o Monmouth and is falsely ascribed to Gildas. The poem is divided into nine books, but is imperfect at the end and elsewhere. It consists of 3848 lines at present. A general Table of Contents is prefixed.
