Ḳehilat Yaʿaḳov by Moses Galante
Contents
Kabbalistic commentary on the Book of Ecclesiastes.
The biblical text of Ecclesiastes is included.
With corrections, deletions and supplements by the author in the margins and between the lines. Possible autograph.
משה קורדואירו תנצב"ה (see also ff. 68v, 73v).
The author refers to Moses Cordovero as deceased, therefore it cannot have been written before 1570. This work was the second book published in Safed under the title Ḳohelet Yaʿaḳov in 1578, and this edition incorporates the alterations found in the manuscript. Consequently, the manuscript was most probably written between 1570 and 1578 (see Goldstein, A Possible Autograph', p. 17).
