Origin: 1700-1799 18th century (Crown: assumed date 1725-1750, based on parallels to a watermark of 1749).

Provenance and Acquisition

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 1138; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 23 November 1931.
