Condition

Water damage, usage stains.

Collation is falling apart, detached from spine, some leaves have come loose.

F. 1 was glued to the front pastedown concealing the text on the recto side (consequently there is no recto side in digital surrogate).

Provenance and Acquisition

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 818; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 15 March 1930.
