Language(s): PersianTitle: Khāvarān'nāmahTitle: خاوران نامهDamaged large format manuscript of the epic mas̲navī on the martial and spiritual exploits of the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muḥammad, first Imām and fourth of the Righteous Caliphs, ʿAlī ibn Abū Ṭālib, written by Muḥammad ibn Ḥusām al-Dīn al-Khūsifī(d. circa 875/1470-1).
According to concluding passages, the work was written in 806/1403, imitating of Firdawsī’s Shāh'nāmah, and intended for presentation to the unnamed ruler in the desire (later grated) that the author will be employed.
Dated colophon: completed by Jamāl Allāh resident of Rudauli (Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh), Saturday, 14 Z̲ī al-Ḥijjah 1187/26 February 1774.
Rough nastaʿlīq tending to shikastah āmīz, with naskh rubrication, arranged into four columns.
Not foliated.
Lacunae and with some folios are disordered.
