Calligraphy signature on f. 172v by Joseph(?).

Purchase note dated 5650 AM (1889/1890 CE) on back flyleaf (i)r: אני קאנתי[!] זה הספר בשליש גירש שנת התק"ן ליצירה.

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 940; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 8 May 1930.
