Provenance and Acquisition

Ownership inscription with the name erased on f. 1r: זה הספר של הבחור הנחמד בה"ר ....

Purchase note on f. 1r with the name erased: קנין כספי בימי....

Moses Gaster (b. 1856, d. 1939), scholar and rabbi: his manuscript, Cod. G. 30; purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 April, 1924; date of accession 7 July 1927.
