Dimensions: 430 x 330 mm. 499 ff., strongly burnished paper.
10 lines per page, black ink, in a strong, bold, hand. Text block 325 x 220 mm. Catchwords (with overlining) on the verso of each folio.
This is a very well used manuscript, with much soiling along edges of leaves, and losses and old repairs (some with lined or graph paper), especially to corners. There are many corrections to the text: on a small piece of paper pasted over (f.339r), crossed out in ink (f.348r), or wiped out with water (f.435v).
Binding: original brown full leather Islamic binding with envelope flap, with concentric ruled frames with small punched circles, and four stamped central medallions and corner pieces; and diagonal lines through the corners of the concentric ruled frames. Sewn repair along spine. One of the pasted-down endpapers has printed Cyrillic script on the reverse; partly lined with coarse canvas.
Because each folio is a single sheet, which is glued along a small overlap to form bifolia, the spine is very much thicker than the rest of the manuscript.
