Critical commentary on the Qurʾān(specifically chapters 1-11) including a collection of khuṭbah addresses for Friday or Jumʿah sermons, their classification and features in accordance with special occasions, entitled Zubdat al-vaʿẓ, but also known as Tafsīr-i Karīmī, comprising almost entirely extracts from other Arabic and Persian authoritative sources, compiled by Mawlavī Muḥammad Karīm Allāh ibn Luṭf Allāh Fārūqī Shāhjahānābādī(d. 1291/1874), pupil of a student of Shāh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Dihlavī the muḥaddis̲, and more immediately of the scholars Rashīd al-Dīn Khān Dihlavī and Muḥammad Kāẓim Dihlavī. In Sufism, the author was an initiate of Sayyid Āl Aḥmad Mārahravī.
