Language(s): Persian and ArabicTitle: Zubdat al-vaʿẓTitle: زبدة الوعظCritical commentary on the Qurʾān(specifically chapters 1-11) including a collection of khuṭbah addresses for Friday or Jumʿah sermons, their classification and features in accordance with special occasions, entitled Zubdat al-vaʿẓ, but also known as Tafsīr-i Karīmī, comprising almost entirely extracts from other Arabic and Persian authoritative sources, compiled by Mawlavī Muḥammad Karīm Allāh ibn Luṭf Allāh Fārūqī Shāhjahānābādī(d. 1291/1874), pupil of a student of Shāh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Dihlavī the muḥaddis̲, and more immediately of the scholars Rashīd al-Dīn Khān Dihlavī and Muḥammad Kāẓim Dihlavī. In Sufism, the author was an initiate of Sayyid Āl Aḥmad Mārahravī.
The work beginning with an Arabic muqaddimah, followed by four sections termed aṣl.
