The manuscripts were handed down to the local Buddhist temple in the 1990s. Before that they used to be a property of local families that preserved them in the 1930s. Later, in early 2000s they were first handed down to the Zurgan Debe middle school and a few years ago, when a dugan was opened in Zurgan Debe the school donated them to the dugan.
