This volume contains the following two texts:
(I) ff 1v-49r : Saatname, a treatise on the hours of the night and their religious significance, originally composed by Hibatullah İbn-i İbrahim (ff 3r, 5r). The contents of the text are largely taken from the Nivān-i lavāmiᶜ (نوان لوامع) and the Tefsir-i netaicü’l-sanai (f 1v) ;
(II) ff 50r-135v : Sirāj al-qulūb (سراج القلوب), on aspects of Islamic doctrine. This text is ascribed to Mūllah ᶜavchī (مولا عوچی) at the end of the work, about whom there is a half-obliterated note. The current copy is incomplete at the beginning. The orthography of this text employs the three-dotted fa (ڤ). It is a catechism of various points of Islamic theology and eschatology and is known from various recensions. As the opening of the work is missing, however, identifying this with any of the extant copies has thus far proven impossible. The original of the work was likely in Persian.
The manuscript was likely copied in Central Asia in the 13th century AH (19th century CE).
