Selected poems from Navoiy’s Dīvān accompanied by verse translations in Persian by Sā’il. The beginning of the text is the same as that found in Or 401 and contains about 250 ghazals in alphabetical order. Each ghazal is followed by a Persian translation in the same metre as the original, and mostly, although not invariably, with the same rhyme. In the last bayt of each Persian ghazal, the translator's takhallus, Sa'il, is substituted for Navoiy's.
Most of the 22 ghazals rhyming in alif are found in the text, and nearly in the same order as those in Add MS 7910. The alphabetical series is not carried on to the end and concludes with 33 ghazals rhyming in nun, to which is added at the end one in vav.
The translator, who is identified only by his takhallus, is probably the same individual as the Persian poet Sa'il Hamadani, who lived under Sultan Husayn Mirza and died under Shah Tahmasp, in 940 AH or 950 AH (1533-34 CE or 1543-44 AH).
The manuscript was copied in India in 1227 AH (1812 CE).
