This volume contains the biographies of 196 poets belonging to the Mevlevi order with selections from their works and was compiled by Mehmet Esrar Dede. The original draft of the work was completed by Galip Dede, Şeyh of the Mevlevihane at Galata.
This manuscript was copied by the Mevlevi Derviş Mehmet İzzet, probably in the 19th century CE.
