- Title:
- [Hilye-yi Hakani] - [حلیۀ خاقانی]
- Scope & Content:
-
This volume contains a poem describing the personal appearance of the Prophet Muhammad صلعم by Hakani (died 1015 AH/1606-07 CE).
The text of the Hilye comes to an end on f 24r. The rest of the manuscript contains the following works:
ff 24r-25v : A na't-i şerif written by Abdi Efendi, one of the intimates (havas) of Sultan Mahmud I (1730-54 CE);
ff 26v-35r : A tract that does not bear a title translated (possibly from the Arabic) by Şeyh Halil dealing with the various parts of the body from moral and religious points of view. The author divides the body into 8 aza and explains the goodness and evil of each part concerned.
Both the first and second texts of the volume were copied in the same hand, that of Hüseyin İbnü'l-Hacc Ahmet, in 1144 AH (1731-32 CE).
