This volume contains an account by the poet Nabi (died 1124 AH/1712-13 CE) of a journey made to Mekke and Medine in mixed prose and verse.
The text breaks off at f 81v and is followed, without any change of hand, by part of a mystical work, defective at the beginning, apparently entitled Makasıt. There are several works in this category:
(1) A Persian work by Yār ᶜalī translated into Ottoman Turkish by Abdülmecit Sivasi (died 1049 AH/1639-40 CE);
(2) A work entitled Makasıt es-salikin by İbrahim İbn-i Hamza;
(3) A work of the same name by Abdullah el-Bosnavi (died 1054 AH/1644-45 CE), better known for his commentary on the Fuṣūṣ al-ḥikam.
On f 83v, the writer mentions a certain Baba Husam Veysi as a friend. If the identification with Husamzade Mustafa Efendi (mentioned in OM I, p. 275 as the author of the Haşiye-yi Şerh-i Makasıt) is correct, then the work found here would be the Makasıt es-salikin chronological reasons.
The manuscript was copied in 1094 AH (1682-83 CE) by the same hand throughout.
