Despite the title given to this volume, it actually contains a miscellany of prose and verse that includes the following 65 texts:

ff 1v-3v : Işkname, verses selected from the mesnevi of Celaleddin Rumi;

ff 4r-7r : Margupu'l-kulub, a compilation from the Divan-i Şems-i Tebriz in 10 fusul;

ff 7v-16r : Gülşen-i vahdet, a mystical poem containin some Persian prose passages by Şahidi İbrahim Dede (died 957 AH/1550-51 CE), of which the last section is called Işkname-i Uşşak;

Outer Margins

On some folios, this has been left blank, but it contains, for the most part, Aḥādith in Arabic interspersed with a few Ottoman Turkish poems, except for an Ottoman Turkish translation of the Miftāḥ al-asrār va miṣbāḥ al-anvār of ᶜaṭṭār (مفتاح الاسرار ومصباح الانوار) (ff 141v-153v) and the Bī-sar nāmah (بی سر نامه) of ᶜaṭṭār (ff 154v-159r). On f 220r there is a list of all the poets whose work appears in this miscellany with a note in Arabic by the compiler, Ali İbn-i Mehmet Arastemüezzinzade el-Üskübi, to the effect that the anthology was composed in 1-10 Cemaziülahir 1095 AH (16-25 May 1684 CE). This was reproduced, with its cryptic date, by the early 18th century copyist.

The text contains a single unvan, as well as floral decorations in red and gold inks on ff 1v-2r and illuminated borders.
