This volume contains a manual of medicine compiled by Seyit Mehmet Emir Çelebi in 1034 AH (1624-25 CE). The work, which consists of a mukaddime, six talim and a hatime, was dedicated to Recep Paşa, Kapudan-i derya. The author of the text died in 1048 AH (1638-39 CE).
This text was copied in 1081 AH (1670-71 CE) by Süleyman. There is a table of contents (ff 2v-5r) which was added at a later date, as well as a prescription (ff 6r-7r).
This is followed by a blank folio and then another medical work by Emir Çelebi entitled Neticet et-tıbb (ff 189r-205r), beginning with a short prose preface. This tract, copied in the same hand as the preceding one, presents information about various ailments and their treatment in tabular form, beginning with headaches (suda). It is apparently incomplete at the end, judging from the space left in the table.
After this comes a glossary of medical terms, mostly Arabic, explained in Ottoman Turkish (ff 206v-264v). This was compiled in alphabetical order in 28 ebvab by Derviş Siyahi al-Karamani min Laranda. This is followed by various medical notes and a prescription for back pain. The glossary was likely transcribed at a later date.
