Eight administrative maps of the traditional provinces of Korea.
1: Kyŏnggido 京畿道 ; 2: Kyŏngsangdo 慶尙道 ; 3: Chungchŏngdo 忠淸道 ; 4: Hamgyongdo 咸鏡南道 ; 5: P’yŏngando 平安道 ; 6: Kangwŏndo 江原道 ; 7: Hwanghaedo 黃海道 ; 8: Chŏllado 全羅道.
The name of the province is in large characters, flanked by a "right" and "left" administrative division and the total number of divisions per province. County and district names with their administrative types are in smaller characters. Coastal defence towns are indicated by red dots. At the top of each map is a panel of text giving distances between places, details of local products and other information.
