Śiromaṇi-ṭīkā Māthurānāthī, a commentary on the Anumāna section of the Śiromaṇi's Dīdhiti
Contents
Language(s): Sanskrit
Author: Mathurānātha TarkavāgīśaTitle: Śiromaṇi-ṭīkā Māthurānāthī, a commentary on the Anumāna section of the Śiromaṇi's DīdhitiIncipit: nanu dhūmavān vahnerityatrāṛdreṃdhanaprabhavavahnerapi saṃyogena ....ff. 1r-1rSee Hall's Index, p.37, no. 1xxi.(Dīdhiti-Māthurī).
The Subdivisions are called rahasya, but there appear only a few.
The manuscript is bad and incomplete.
Foll.1, 10-14, 87-96 bear the marginal note śi॰ ṭi॰ ma॰, or mathu॰ (śiromaṇi ṭīkā mathurānāthī), foll.64, 69-80, 111-155 Mathurānāthī; corrupt notes foll.98, 228, 246?
The incipit given is apparently not the beginning of Mathurānāthī's work.
Fol 19 begins a new numbering of the leaves, fol.19-30 are 6-17, foll. 31-86 are 2-55. Fol. 31b ends the Vyāptigrahopāyapūrvanpakṣarahasya, fol.86b the Anumānapramārahasya.
Foll.87-96 are 13-29 of an original numbering, fol.97a breaks off in the middle of th epage.
The first two leaves of the new piece are lost, foll.98-101 are numbered 3-4, fol.109-158 are numbered 52-96, foll.160-177 are numbered 2-19. foll. 178a ends the Upādhipūrvapakṣarahasya.
Fol.193a contains the only colophon which mwntions the name of the author, but it seems to be copied from an illegible original by an ignorant scribe: iti śrīmathurānāthatarkavāgīśaviracite anumā -- dīdhi--trakā(sic!)ptivādarahasyaṃ||
Foll.194-200 are numbered 1-7, foll.201-204 are numbered 13-16. Foll 205-213 are perhaps misplaced, they are numbered 16-9. Fol.201a ends the Vyāptipūrvapakṣarahasya.
Foll.227-246 contain a last piece. It begins: taddharmāvachinna॰ The original numbering of the leaves is 1, 2, 6-18, 17-21.
