The name of the author does not occur in this copy but it is evidently Praśastapāda's work, since it is the text commented on by Udayana inthe first part of the Kiraṇāvalī.

The Padārthadharmasaṃgraha is not a commentary on each single sūtra, but a short exposition of the six Vaiśeṣika categories, based on the sūtras of this system. It is also called Praśastapābhāṣya, see nos. 2060, 2083,2085.
