Title: MuktāphalaA summary of Vaiṣṇava doctrines as propounded in the Bhāgavata purāṇa.
The author was the son of the physician Keśava, and pupil of Dhaneśa.
The text comes with a commentary, entitled Kaivalyadīpikā, composed (at his father's house in Kaṭaka) by Hemādri son of Kāmadeva, and at the timeminister of king Rāmarāja (or Rāmacandra, A.D. 1271-1309) of Devagiri.
The Ms. starts with the commentary on fol. 1v and the text of Muktāphala begins fol. 1r.
Vopadeva's work, being exclusively based on the Bhāgavata, is sometimes described as a mere commentary or gloss on thar Purāṇa. It consists of 3 divisions, treating respectively : (a) of the nature of Viṣṇu, and th etrue mode of his worship (Viṣṇubhakti), foll. 1-54; (b) of the duties and rites to be performed by his votaries (Viṣṇubhaktijanya), foll.54-74; (c) of the nine different grades or dispositions (rasa) to be attained by them successively in the perception of his a;;-pervading power, foll. 75-145.
