In two parts, one is prose, the other is in verse.

The prose part has three prakaraṇas: śiṣyapratubodhanavidhi (ends fol.381v), avagati (ends fol.394v), gadyasambandha (ends fol.397a). Cp. Burnell's Tanj. MSS., p.90, no.xiv.

The second prakaraṇa has the form of a dialogue.

The names of the nineteen chapters are: upodghātaprakaraṇa (26 verses), ātmajñānotpattividhi (pra)karaṇa(4v), īśvarātmaprak (8v), ahaṃpratyayaprak. (5 v.), buddhyaparādhaprak. (5 v.), viśeṣāpohaprak.
