Viśvaprakāśa
Contents
Language(s): sa
Title: ViśvaprakāśaA dictionary of words of various meanings.
The author is the son of Brāhma, and grandson of Keśava, in A.D. 1111 (?).
For the complete introduction (23 ślokas) see Aufrecht, Cat. Bodl., no. 428.
Same work as IO San 246, and IO San 1539.
Of the 23 introductory ślokas this Ms. contains only 12, and in the following order: 1, 2, 19-23, 10-13, 15.
In the earlier part of the anekārthapariccheda, there are several interpolations, probably all of them quotations from other works. Thus Halāyudha is quoted fol. 33b; Śāśvata, fil. 46b, fol. 132b; Jayanta, fol. 18. The latter part , especially from the end of the lāntāḥ, is considerably abridged; the avyayapariccheda is reduced to only 4 ślokas.
At the end of the avyayas (fol. 157) this Ms. likewise gives the four ślokas, the last of which containd the date of the work.
