Sūtrakṛtāṅga
Contents
Language(s): Sanskrit
Title: Sūtrakṛtāṅga (Sūyakaḍaṅga)written in the Jaina Devanagārī character.
The second Aṅga of the sacred canon of the Jainas, with a vernaclar commentary.
Imperfect.
The text is very incorrect. The commentary is written above, below and in the margins of the text, rather less tidily.
For this work see Weber, Ind. Stud., xvi. 259-267; Berlin Catal., ii. 370-389; Winternitz, Geschichte der indischen Litteratur, ii. 297-299; printed at Bombay, with Śīlāṅka's Tīkā, Harṣakula's Dīpikā, and the vernaculae commentary of Sādhuratna, in 1880; transáted by H. Jacobi, Sacred Book of the East, XLV. 233-435. The version in Sanskrit of the title as Sūtrakṛtāṅga is more commonly used and has ancient authority (e.g. Berlin Catal., ii.388) as in Eggeling no. 7443.
Adhyayana I of Śrutaskandha I begins fol. 1; Adhyayana II begins fol. 6v; Adhyayana III begins fol. 12v; Adhyayana IV begins fol. 17; there is a lacuna from Uddeśaka II.20 to section 14 of the next Adhyayana but one (VI); Adhyayana VII begins fol. 24v; Adhyayana VIII begins fol. 26; Adhyayana IX begins fol. 27v; Adhyayana X begins fol. 29; Adhyayana XI begins fol. 30v; Adhyayana XII begins fol. 32; Adhyayana XIII begins fol. 33v; Adhyayana XIV begins fol. 35; Adhyayana XV begins fol. 36v; Adhyayana XVI begins fol. 37v.
