The name of the author does not occur in the manuscript itself, but according to an inscription on the first page (pratyakṣālokamāthūrī० nyā०), its author is Mathurānātha.
The same beginning of Mathurānātha's Pratyakṣālokarahasya in Rājendralāla Mitra's Notices of Skr.MSS., vol.iii., p.111, nos.1159 and 1191.
Fol.20v ends the Maṅgalavādarahasya; this is the only subscription in the first portion of this volume, which ends fol.36r (viśeṣaviṣaya iti). The second portion has its own original pagination from 1 to 87. On the first leaf ends Prathamanipratipattirahasya; fol.44b, Dvitīyavipratipattirahasya; fol.92v, Pramāpūrvapakṣarahasya; fol.97r, Prāmāṇyavādarahasya pramālakṣaṇarahasyam; fol.113r, Pratyakṣālokarahasye anyathākhyātipūrvapakṣarahasyam; fol.123r, Pratyakṣālokarahasye anyathākhyātirahasyam.
