This volume contains a work on morals and religion translated from the Persian (f 3v) at the order of Ali Paşa. Neither the name of the translator nor that of the author of the original work appears in the text, but Haj. Khalifah (I, p. 487) records an Ottoman Turkish version of a Persian Anīs al-ᶜārifīn in 12 chapters made for Ali Paşa by Emir Ca'fer Tuğrai, which is likely the work in the current volume. He does not state the name of the author of the Persian work, but the previous entry in his catalogue deals with an item of the same name by Şükrullah İbn-i Şihab el-Din Ahmet İbn-i Zeyn el-Din Zaki el-Rumi, the author the Behcetü'l-tevarih (see GO, p. 19). Unfortunately, Haj. Kh. does not specify the language nor does Storey (p. 91), where a work by Şükrullah with this title is mentioned.
The mansucript was copied in 1008 AH (1599-1600 CE).
