- Scope & Content:
- Twenty watercolours of tulips, with their names inscribed in Dutch in pen and ink. Some of the drawings are executed directly on the folios of the albums, others are pasted down on the folios. Only some drawings are signed or dated. Item 13 bears the date 1638. Item 20 bears the initials 'B.A.' and the date 1638. A larger, foldout leaf with letterpress in Dutch (unnumbered) is included at the end of the volume. It is a list of prices of tulips and hyacinths sold in Haarlem by florist Nicolaes Huyn, dated 1709.
