Drawings of birds from North America, Jamaica, Suriname, Ambon and other places, all pasted on the folios of the manuscript and numbered progressively. The majority are watercolours by George Edwards, dated between 1737 and 1743. Exceptions are:
'i-iii': 3 pages of letterpress text in English with descriptions of birds from George Edwards's A Natural History of Uncommon Birds (London, 1743-51).

13. Red chalk drawing of a dissected sea eagle, with lettering, an accompanying description in Latin, dated June 1740 and signed 'IPs. del'.

36. Watercolour of two parrots with inscriptions in Dutch of their colours, signed 'Jan van Huysum'.
