Description: 4 kan, formerly in 4 satsu, now rebound in 1 vol. western style. Maki 上 and 下 are each subdivided into 上 and 下. (Maki 上之上) ff. 26; (上之下) ff. [1] , 45, [1] ; (下之上) ff. [1] , 34, [1] ; (下之下) ff. [1] , 28, 11 (後序). 28 x 19.8 cm. Fukurotoji.
Blockprint. Printing frame 22.8 x 17.3 cm. (average). No borders. No fishtail design on hanshin.
Kanbun text, with printed okurigana and kaeriten. 12 lines to page (7 lines in kōjo 後序), 20 characters to line (14 characters in kōjo).
Original mid-blue front cover of maki 上 only, with fragment of lower part of original printed title slip. All that remains of gedai is: ・・・ 上之本. Title from naidai at head of each maki: 神器傳授圖. Maki and folio numbers only on hanshin. In a western style half-leather binding.
Edition: The only recorded Edo-period edition.
Contents: A genealogical work showing the lineage of Chinese emperors and many of the imperial princes from legendary times to the end of the Ming period. Table of contents (目録) at head of each maki. Closing note in larger script on last 11 folios is headed: 神器傳授圖後序.

Condition: Good, apart from some water stains along fore-edge in maki 上 and slight worm damage in maki 下. Many folios split along brittle fore-edge.
Impression: Shozuri. Blocks show no signs of wear.
Seals of ownership: Two red seals, one oblong reading: Keirinkan toshoin 桂林館圖書印, and one square reading: Tōbujō no zōshō 東武城之蔵章, on first page of all 4 kan.
Manuscript notes: Textual notes and emendations, mostly written on paper slips pasted in, in a mid-Edo hand, scattered throughout the text.
