Imprint: Rakuyō [Kyotō] , Hayashi Izumi, Manji 2, 1659. Kanki following batsu on fol. 24a of maki 5 reads: 萬治二己亥年暮春念日 ／ 洛陽今出川書堂 ／ 林和泉板行.
Description: 5 kan, formerly in 5 satsu, rebound in 1 vol. western style. (Maki 1) ff. 28; (2) ff. 20; (3) ff. 20; (4) ff. 18; (5) ff. 24. 26.6 x 18.1 cm. Fukurotoji.
Blockprint. Printing frame 21.1 x 15.8 cm. Double-line borders. Fishtail design on hanshin.
Hiragana-majiri text, with interlinear printed replies to questions. 8 lines to page (large script), variable no. of characters to line.
Original light blue front cover of maki 1 only, with printed title slip on left. Gedai: 有職問答. Title from naidai at head of each maki. Hashiragaki: same as naidai and gedai + maki no. + folio no. In a western style half-leather binding.
Edition: The first and only pre-modern edition recorded.
Contents: Record of a dialogue between Ōuchi Yoshitaka and Sanjōnishi Sanetaka, both of whom are named in the batsu on fol. 24a of maki 5. Questions on official ranks and positions in the Court and military hierarchy are put by Ōuchi to Sanjōnishi and answered by him in the form of interlinear replies in smaller script.
